The LaNEG Hessen e.V. is an initiative funded by the Hessian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing for the networking and promotion of Hessian citizen energy cooperatives. The network has set itself the goal of supporting the energy cooperatives in the further expansion of renewable energies by jointly tacking solutions to the challenges in a cooperative sense. Cooperatives make an important contribution to regional development. They offer not only financial participation, but also a high degree of co-determination in their activities due to their democratic structure. In addition, they are an ideal instrument for advancing the renewable energy supply and at the same time making citizens investors and thus carriers of the energy transition.
THE NATIONAL NETWORK MAY REFER TO:
the networking and promotion of citizens‘ energy cooperatives in Hesse, the expansion of renewable energies, as well as for local value creation through the participation of citizens in the energy transition.

to promote their strengthening and interests by bundling the energy cooperatives in the country. To support and promote the exchange of experience among the energy cooperatives. To carry out joint public relations work for the concerns of the energy cooperatives. To open up new business areas for the cooperatives. To promote the professionalization and further training of management and supervisory boards through workshops (in cooperation with other organizations).
